Law school at Santa Clara University helped me learn legal writing was my forte. Since graduation, and then admission to the California Bar in 1982, my practice has been almost exclusively limited to appeals and my success rate is better than average. Of my 40 victories, the most impressive are: Monroe County DHS v. Kelli B., 2004 WI 48, 271 Wis.2d 51, 678 N.W.2d 831 (incestuous parenthood statute held unconstitutional as applied to mother whose children were product of repeated assaults by her father) and State v. Lewis, 2004 WI App 211, 277 Wis.2d 446, 690 N.W.2d 668 (life sentence reversed with directions to dismiss). I appeared before the California Supreme Court in In re David Roy Bakke (1986), 42 Cal.3d 84, 227 Cal.Rptr. 663, 720 P.2d 11 and was successful in part for my client in Pereira v. U.S. Postal Service (9th Cir.1991), 942 F.2d 577.
Besides my California license, I am admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals for the 7th and 9thCircuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of California and the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and all the courts of Wisconsin.
I love my work and look forward to writing the briefs for your appeal.
